It is just frustrating to visit these forums and see nothing is happening. We need more members and more money. But if that happens in 10 years, what is the use. Not much anyone can do. Might as well as start packing.

It may be only 5% of the members who have taken up all action items seriously and did any thing .. You need strengthen the efforts by more actively participating.
Time and again it is reminded by IV core team of Action items to members. If you have not taken up any of the action items and if you wish something happen and support IV.. PLEASE ACT NOW ON ACTION ITEMS .. I think THIS IS THE TIME with several bills being discussed in media.

haha :P I agree the pixel stretch can look awesome (as in the case of Dans splash - great job by the way!)... I just think it is more often used when it would have been better to leave it out or try something different - but it can definitly be the way to go in the right situation.

Lets meet up on the weekend in a park or something, we can do the potluck. It will be an open place , so no restriction or shortage of space if there are a lot of people. Would be a good social networking and also the meeting as well.

I agree and believe we can get #3 passed. It will provide relief to thousands like myself who have to struggle to maintain a status.
I have asked this question several times to IV/Pappu but got no response. Is is possible to ask for this provision asap ? We know that IV is working on a bigger cause to get us all GC's but honestly no one is sure when and if CIR will happen. Even if it does no one can guarantee that our interests will not be put aside.
I am surprised that whenever I ask for this temporary relief, I see no one else coming forward. I know that there are thousands waiting to file their I-485 but no one wants to speak up ?! That's very disheartening !

Mine was approved on Nov 15th 2010 but still have not received it. I called customer service 4 times but no user.
Last week I had info pass appointment and the lady told me they will track my package as they have already sent it on Nov 15th. Still nothing

We should empahsise how the amnesty offer can set precedence for future influx of people and how US would end up as Latino country, if immigration is not controlled. This can be a sure catalyst for SJ Mercury times as they are trying to find ammunition to counter the Illegal protests

Exception 4 - have a question around this statement: For German transit VISA
- are holding a valid visa or other residence permit for the USA (this includes advance paroles, but not approval notices), Canada or Switzerland and travel to the country which issued that visa or residence permit
do not need transit VISA.
Does that mean if you are travelling from India to US (with valid US Visitor VISA) u need a transit VISA.
Above exception seem to appy only if u are travelling to country that issued u the VISA (india), but in this case we are travelling from that Country to US.

Guys,
My undertstanding is, if one is a primary applicant on EAD and he/she starts studying full time, one need to pay taxes (like saying working part time or doing business, etc...).
Once school is complete one needs to get back to same position or higher as an EAD applicant.
I am also looking for concrete answers/confirmation on this.
Tried to post a mesg to attorney on this forum but the post was closed. :(
Anyone know for sure how to handle this situation. Or anyone did this and still got GC ??

If ur 140 was sent to the processing center before 07/21/2008 you should be fine. The receipt notice may take 2 - 4 days to be generated some times and some times it has taken nearly 3 months(last july VB Fiasco). I think if you labour has expired you wouldn't have got the receipt notice, but not sure.

We have repeatedly stressed the fact that our members are from all over the place. That we represent not only our members but the over 500,000 EB applicants from all over the world who are stuck in the process. On the other hand we cannot always control the spin that individual news organizations choose -- this CNN-IBN covers Indian issues and chose to characterize us that way.
There were Chinese members who attended our DC event, but this reporter didn't film them! Sucks.
