I am a software engineer who just received the EAD. Does this mean I can now start working as a Barista at Starbucks? What does an EAD really give me?

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!

Dear Sir/Madam,
My h1b status (and I94) is valid till 20 Feb 2010. Few days back I have applied for my h1b extention on PP after completing 4 years 6 months. My I140 got rejected couple of months back and I appealed on it, It is on pending now. Basically i am looking for an options if my h1b extention gets denied , can i appeal for h1b extention and get h1b extention based my I140 appeal. Are there any other ways to continue to work in usa? or Do I need to leave usa immediatly? if yes with in how many days?

Can I travel on a valid / approved AP when my H1 Extension is in progress. This is my
situation:
Valid AP in Hand valid till next year.
H1B expiring 6/20/2011
H1B extension applied on 4/7/11 have rcpt notice.
My questions are this:
1.) When I enter US back in with my AP in mid July will that impact my H1B extension in any way.
2.) Without any EAD will I be Jeapordizing my AOS in any way.
I will be continuing to work with the same employer who is the sponsor of my current
I485.
Request your thoughts and inputs on this situation. Appreciate any replies/advices you may have.

Reuters talks to Pakistani tennis star Aisam ul-Haq, who made it to the men's doubles finals of the US Open this week about his immigration problems entering the US. Am I eligible to transfer to a TARP company for a similar position but in different state? Is there any specific policy or limitation for this work status? The company's HR couldn't make a decision. I also received RFE. It was related to TB chest X-ray. In '07 doctor said, it is not requited but USCIS feels other way.

AC21 pioneers, any recommendations on picking lawyers around NYC? specifically those that are fairly responsive and charge a fair price on all the procedures / docs that come with maintaining AOS, including a possible AC21 notification letter, renewing EAD/APs....

I just read on other forums that no FP is required if EAD renewal is efiled. Only first time efile requires FP is this true?
So far twice I have paper filed EAD. Now its time for extension. If I e-file will I get FP??

The rooster's a good subject, and you got down to rooster height, which is really good, and you got him when crowing - a great behavior. Unfortunately, the face is in shadow, and that means you don't get the "catchlight" sparkle in the eye. Also, you often don't get the eye quite in focus, since autofocus works on contrast. A lot of faults in a protrait can be overlooked if the eye is sharp. In this case, you're focused on the neck feathers, not quite on the eye, so if you can reshoot it, try for getting light in the eye, and I think you'll like the results even more.
