If the iPhone 5 is delayed as much as some suppliers are speculating ( in to next year ), the bright spot would be that the iPhone 4 price would likely get slashed to keep sales going. I'd still ride it out with my 3Gs though...unless I gave in to the temptation to try another platform.
i was tempted to try apple for a year, and me poking my nose around this area of the forum trying to see when the next one drops. Sucks that if they do delay this one i wont be trying them out this year. I would love to do such a thing so each year i can bounce back and forth from android to ios to windows 7 give them all time to keep improving.

That's odd. My iPad 2 does return to the previous spot when I hit back. Have you tried to see if it does it on every web page or just a handful?

After recently watching Tron Legacy in the movie theater, I loved how the different soldiers and those who wore helmets sounded with their voices modified. Is there a program available that could help me replicate that with my own voice? Their voices sounded very electronic.

Is this well-veiled sarcasm? If not, you guys are ridiculous.
1) Google does not own the mapping database they use
2) Even if they did, there are multiple geographic/mapping data providers
3) None of them obtained their data by having employees drive around in vehicles... That's an absurd suggestion

samsung afaik OWNS and runs their own factories, largely is SK and other nations. their employees spend their salaries and pay taxes.
apple outsources all manufacturing. None in US. When what do they do with such big pile of cash made from not running factories? They park it in some overseas bank account to avoid paying tax to US.
Don't be fooled by headcount/profit ratio.

I didn't get a 4 because I was holding out for a bigger screen. I really want to keep buying Apple products. But at this point, if the phone is delayed or the screen is staying the same size, I am going to have to start checking out some of the HTCs. My 3G is almost unusable since OS4.Enjoy! HTC looks a very capable phone. Cheers! It sounds like you need an upgrade, too. I'm on the original iPhone — but I know whatever I buy will have to do me for 2-3 years so I'm waiting on iPhone 5, no matter what.

I can understand frustration — feeling it too, just not venting — the tea leaves all pointed to new iPhones in June and then, Blammo. But we have to realize that Apple does not want to be predictable. We don't really know just exactly how the JAPAN devastation affected Apple and how it will deliver its products. That could be very well what has delayed things. If this is the case, patience is all we can give anybody at this point. They lost so much.

Really stop lying to yourself. Android is a powerful mobile OS that can be adapted to many situations. Its not going anywhere for a while. Kindle will not outsell it as kindles direct competition the Nook (an android device). Android will save people money in the future. Why right your own set of code for a cash register when you just build it on top of android.

When I got my iPad 2, I had been having this issue. But once I updated to 4.3.1 I haven't had this problem. Did 4.3.1 fix this issue for anyone else or do some of you still have this problem?
Did not fix for our iPad, at all.
4.3 and 4.3.1 has been a disaster. The animations are so choppy it makes it almost androidesque. I hope they actually fix it this time rather than just patching a jailbreak. I wish I could go back to 4.2.1 where the phone was actually stable and smooth.
I am going to have to agree with this. Stutters, screen shaking while refreshing a large image, airplay to apple tv is buggy as all get out.

I've been searching around a few forums including this one but can't seem to find the exact information i require.
I currently have a 16bg 3gs with iOS 3.1.3 and the baseband version 05.12.01 that I jailbroke using Spirit.
I was wondering whether was any way I could update the OS to 4.1x or higher without losing the jailbrake? If so, how can I go about it? I unfortunately purchased a copy of Infinity Blade before realizing that it required 3.2.
