Ok so I was having some timeline issues with TweetDeck for iPhone (just weird times for posts) so I decided to go ahead and give Tweetie 2 a shot.
WOW... what an app! It's smooth, fast, responsive and easy to use. LOVE the offline capabilities. Couldn't care less about PUSH - it would kill my battery.
So far, best Twitter app i've ever used!

If you're 18 and living under your parent's roof then you are obliged to follow their rules. Ok so you're legally an adult at 18, then quit leaching from your parents, reaping the rewards of living in their house, enjoying their hospitality and get your own place. But as long as you continue to take advantage of the good will of your parents hospitality then you follow the rules of their home.

I agree. I think keeping your dignity and sanity intact are more important than a little extra money. I'll probably do the business card for this guy, but if he approaches me with any larger projects, I'll most likely turn him down. :)

It needs offline maps. Without that, it's pointless on an iPod Touch, or any WiFi-only device. If I could save just one city at a time: say I'm going to London, and I will need a map of London all day, then I could save a given radius of a London map and it would be handy.
What I do now is take screenshots of maps while I still have WiFi, but that's totally annoying to do.

If this is from their website, what is their issue with letting users opt-out in their iPad app?
Because if you opt out on the iPad app they don't get your information at all.
They will need this information to offer you a better deal once they come out with the HTML5 version of their app. At that point they will bypass the Apple store and its 30% cut altogether. You will pay less for the content and FT will make more money then they do now.
It's a win-win for both you and FT. Apple, well, not so much.

Your right we should follow the example of the president who allowed 911 to happen. Then failed to accomplish the task of killing him while also driving us into debt revoking our civil liberties and allowing American's to begin torturing those they SUSPECTED had useful information.

Sounds like you got an older revision of the case. Apparently, the newer ones from Speck themselves are a little softer and easier to handle.
Nothing you can do about the one you have to make it softer. You can always try contacting Speck for a replacement. I hear they're pretty generous with replacements.

Not necessarily. ACT UP was a very aggressive group in the 80's that used that motto to bring attention to the AIDS crisis. I didn't like them or their tactics much at all at the time either. But you know what? It worked. They definitely served their purpose and are responsible for bringing serious attention to HIV/AIDS. Because you know what? Standing up to bullies like social conservatives works.
What doesn't work is letting them walk all over you, like they've been doing for decades. I'm talking about people who, no matter what you do, will NEVER respect you unless you stand up to them. Sometimes, violence is the answer. I'm sorry, but that's just a sad truth. It should always be the last resort, but it is the only answer sometimes. If people like this think you'll never fight back, you'll always lose. Because you know why? They think we're evil. They think we're the enemy. They've dehumanized us to such an extent that they think it's OK to beat the crap out of us, take our rights and even try to take our children. Would you sit still for that?
