I couldn't get good rep 10-15 times i called USCIS to tell me more detail than what shows online. One thing i can think of is i was pregnant at the time of my medical and couldnt get xray done as my tb skin test showed positive.
So may be RFE for that. God Know. This waiting is killing me.

I am a July 23rd filer with ND of Sept 24th....no LUDs but RFE last year.....I know of ppl who got GCs with no LUDs to their records...so it is anybody's guess.
I have a WAC no. for TSC so I am screwed further....TSC overflowed my case to CSC and then back to TSC....ppl like me are the worst affected....but since I got an RFE last year they must have opened my file and why would they open my I-485 if they are following ND which i not current even now...
It is all a big mess...god only knows....USCIS is a black box we only know what goes inside that box...what comes out is a lottery....satta...

Is it possible for my employer to file for my H1b, and I can find another lawyer on my own to file for my Wife's H4? I think my employer isn't really willing to file for my wife from his tone....
he said he will file it next month, but will petition for my H1b to validate in June next year (when my OPT ends, my H1b will validate the next day). in this case, when can i start the petition for my wife if she is in F1 after i got my H1b 3, 4 months from now(but won't be validated till June next year)?
I am filing for her F-2 next month, I seriously doubt by the time i file for her H4, her F-2 will be in the mail. should i wait for the F-2 to be approved then start petition for H4?

I've heard so many variations of this. Does anyone have any experience acually doing this. Is it possible for your new company to sneak in and port your old company's LC/I140 withou them knowing or while you are still at the old company. Obviously you would not want to leave your old company till your new company gets the I140 with he old PD ported -right?

I would advise you to minimise the risk rather than money. May be you can start the GC for future employment. It will take time to do the PERM process and in the mean time you can complete your current project also.
1. Start the H1 transfer and GC process now itself.
2. Stay with your current employer until the project is over.
3. Take the money and join the new company at end of six month if everything goes smooth.
By doing this you get the money and also minimise the risk with new employer. But you need to get the consultant who is ready to do this.

A similar situation happened to a friend of mine. It is very easy, talk to a good lawyer and you should have them very soon..

You seem to be the only one other than me not to get a CPO or welcome email....could be that we are unwanted (unwelcome) greens....anyway I don't think you get a separate email for CPO after an approval mail...the first mail is usually a CPO/welcome mail ....Need to see what shows up in the Postal Mail when it arrives...

Yes, ICICI bank do not allow more than 4 part pre-payments in a year. I am not sure if it is a calendar year. You can ask ICICI for the part pre-payment terms. When I inquired, they sent me a PDF file.
I had this issue because I wanted to pay-off my loan to avoid the increasing interest rate. Mine was floating. The officer who sold me the loan gave some misguiding concept "interest rate will go down when the economy is booming". But the reverse happened after I took the loan. I had a floating rate of 7% in Sept 2004. But within a year and half it almost crossed 12.5%.

I work as a consultant for one of the big 5 firms implementing SAP applications. What is the job code referenced for this job? I want to know the job category it falls under as per the Dictionary of Occupation Title or the O*Net published by DOL. My company did not provide me this information but any help will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you get the EVL in the same title as in your LC .Whatever is your title is currently not relevant to GC since GC is for future employement not for current employement what you perform.

We are interested in knowing the source of this rule!
If you pay the new fee for EAD or AP, there is no mention that you won't have to pay again for EAD or AP. You don't have to pay for EAD and/or AP if you had paid new fee for I-485.
I'm renewing my wife's and my EAD through my attorney. We'll pay only this time for the new fee and then on will be free. Same is with AP. Pay once under the new fee, and then you can renew it for free. The only fee you'll pay is your attorney's, which you don't have to do. You can efile by yourself like many other people have done.

If you are independent contractor you can take some allowed expenses. If you are salaried employee you need to show loss for getting some benefit. Generally if you show loss for 3 years continously then IRS mostly deny on third year. In any case if you take too much expense you are inviting audit and that is going to be nightmare. I do not think it is a good idea to start a company just for expenses unless you are going to do business. Atleast you should be doing independent contracting(corp to Corp).

I recently applied for EAD renewal and after three weeks of that I saw LUD changed on my 485 apllication for consequetive two days. Any Idea why ?
By the way my case is ACT 21 ( 485 filed on 2007 july) and my priority day is not even close to be current.
Any suggestions will be appreciated ?
