My wife is on a contract jod to another city and now I get this FP notice which is scheduled in the city I reside. is it possible to reschedule it to another location. On the Notice itself there is an option to reschedule is to another time but not to another location

I lost my job about a month ago with fortune company where I had my H1 and then I filed to transfer my H1 to the GC filing company. It got approved last week. They even seem to have sent the I 94 with the H1 approval.
I have a visa from the earlier company(fortune company) till dec 2009 in my passport. Do I now need to get a fresh visa again with the new (GC) company that has sponsored my H1. Or is the visa validity in my passport is good enough to work even for the new employer?

Why are you going to other forums for advice. Those other forums are after making money from traffic and ads. They want you to suffer as long as possible so that they make money. Also Obamaji its gr8 that you put additional fee on H1B so that you can protect border crossing. How about putting the additional penalty on people employing undocumented folks? You could not even bring the CIR on the floor but you were able to pass penalties against skilled workers so quickly.

Hi
I lost my job in January and since I was not able to get a new project. So, returned back to India in May'09. My AP was valid till 21-July-2009. I did not file for extension while in US.
Now, I am getting a job in US and the employer is asking if I could join immdiately. Please let me know:
1. If there is any option for me to renew my AP from India?
2. Any other options, since my H1B got expired (6 years) in May'09.
Note: My EAD is valid till June 2010.

You have 2 options. Either use your old H1 which is still valid (assuming u still have a valid visa stamp) and enter US (carry a latest offer letter from employer). If you use the old H1, then you will only have 2 more years of H1 time left.
You can file for a fresh H1 visa in Master's quota under consular processing and when its approved, attend the Visa interview, get a new H1 stamp, and re-enter using the fresh stamp. This way, you will get fresh 6 yrs time on H1.

You dont have to be employed by the employer for 180 days. All you need is 485 pending for 180 days. So in the letter you can mention that 485 had been pending for more than 180 days.
The only catch is if USCIS question about your "intention" at the time of filing 485. (Since you didnt work for the company after 485, and now specifically says dont intent to..).
At the time of filing 485 you should have proper intention to join the original employer.
Maybe somebody else who went through similar experience can help u.
AC21 invocation letters typically state that you're using AC21 for switching employment after 180 days. What argument should be used to invoke AC21 in my case?

My current H1 B expires on July 31 2011. With this I will be exhausting my renewals quota as my sponsoring company Wipro has not initiated GC process. Also when my last renewal was done, a mistake was done by Wipro Visa office. My first entry to US was in Aug 2004. After that I had gone out of US in Aug 2005 for 1 month vacation and returned in Sept 2005. Each time when we file for extensions, we give all the entry and exit dates. The Wipro visa office had incorrectly entered my first entry into US as Sept 2005 even though it should have been Aug 2004. Based on this they renewed my petition till July 31 2011. If we calculate now, it turns out to be the seventh year on H1. When I tried to change my employer this year, they looked at these details and informed that if I start GC process now, they will definitely calculate my dates and find out that I am in the 7th year of H1 without GC initiation. So they told it will cause issues and it would be better for me to leave the country after July 31 2011, wait for 1 year, sponsor a new H1 and then come back.
Is there any alternative I have here? Thanks for offering help.
