    This is my first post and I would like to know if there will be any issue if the name on SSN & EAD not matching?

    i.e.
    My Name On

    FirstName MiddleName LastName
    SSN is : RAMAKRISHNA PRASAD BARU

    LastName FirstName MiddleName
    EAD is : BARU RAMAKRISHNA P

    Thanks and appreciate for your help in advance.

    Whats wrong with this.Ur last name is still Baru .In my old L2 EAD I see c,a b where c is my last name ,a my first name and b my middle initial.There should be a comma after your lastname in EAD card right?U r OK.

    Next option is for Canada, but if you do not have US education or experience in US as they clearly mention on consulate site of Canada (Visa Requirements • U.S. Consular Services in Canada (http://www.consular.canada.usembassy.gov/usa_visa.asp#ability)).

    It is recommended to go to Home country for change of status or First time H1B visa stamping. The reason is, it is much easy to verify your education certificates, work related certificates etc if you are from your home country.

    I'm in same boat, upgraded to PP on June 1. your new status of I140 will be "We received request for PP".

    For H1's Ext its the same receipt number . I think for 140 it will be the same .I subscribed to the notification of case status and i received an update oon the case saying the Premium processing requested for the petition

    My 6 years on H1b expires on Nov 2010. I have 140 approved from company A.

    1.What's the earliest I can apply for 3 year H1b extension based on my 140 approval?

    2. If I switch to company B right now and get company B to file for labor using my approved labor's priority date, are there any time restrictions for filing H1b extension?

    3. Suppose I get a 3 yr H1b extension from company A, can i switch to different company after that using that H1b visa?

    IRS is very clear on this. SSN+ITIN couple filing jointly, no rebate for either of them. See this link http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=179211,00.html

    However, you should apply for an SSN for your wife ASAP. You may retroactively get this 2007 rebate when you file 2008 taxes.

    Using your wife's SSN for tax purposes will not impact her legal status in any way.


    Is it true that H4 spouse, who do not have SSN are not eligible for tax rebate if while filing a joint tax return for 2007 ITIN is used for spouse.

    It seems ITIN is given to illegal aliens too and hence it is not possible for IRS to determine which ITIN holders are legal and which are illegal. Thus they are not going to give tax rebates to ITIN holders.

    My wife is on H4 and has a EAD/AP. Should I apply for SSN to receive the tax rebates? But since the tax rebates are based on 2007 tax return I will have to file the tax return using her SSN to get the rebates.

    Also will SSN affect her H4 status if EAD is not used?

    What do you guys think?

    I have some issues with my 140.. I have doubt it might get denied... so if my my husband (H4) starts working now on EAD, he will loose his h4 status... and later if 140 is denied , he will be out of status , he has to go back to india and get h4 stamped... I don't want to go through all this hassel..so just matter of couple of months.. will wait for 140 decision...and if it gets approved he will use EAD to work.

    I suspect, if the camera has a chargable clock battery, it's NOT a "user-servicable" part. The idea is that they don't break.

    That's just a guess - I don't have a D70, so I don't know for sure.

    I did a few entries in Google, with the result that I'm fairly sure the clock-battery is an internal non-user-changable battery [particularly a reference to the same technology being used on a Nikon D1].

    I expect that aside from the inconvenience and shipping cost, the service is fairly reasonable in cost... But that's just a guess...
